After analyzing Google Page Rank and Alexa Rank of .PK websites, now its time to see what technologies Pakistanis are using to power their websites.

As you can see Apache has the major share of almost 68%. IIS (5,6 and 7) has 28.1% share. Then nginx is just 3.1%

Now the interesting part of the analysis:

• ASP.NET is the most famous technology among .PK websites. 6004 .PK websites were detected using ASP.NET.
• 5866 are using PHP.
• 381 were on J2EE.
• 45 .PK sites were developed on Ruby on Rails. (don’t be amazed, most of them .PK version of international domains. Only a few Pakistani .PK websites are pdmkhi.pk, ncbae.edu.pk, amazingdeals.pk)
• 23 .PK websites use Adobe ColdFusion
• 17 were built using CodeIgniter (e.g. greenvalley.pk, visitpakistan.com.pk, taanabaana.com.pk, ustaad.com.pk, laysflavourcup.pk, tossdown.pk)
• 8 were build using CakePHP(e.g. businesslist.pk, mcdonalds.com.pk)
